Jean Barbosa brings over 30 years of industry experience spanning IM&IT, and government, as well as retail and financial sectors. In the course of his career Jean has held senior positions in sales and marketing, product and software development, program management, enterprise system implementation, customer service, training and operations management. He has extensive expertise in the implementation of integrated business process frameworks to increase productivity and client value in the areas of managed services, business and corporate services.
In May 2008, Jean completed an executive interchange at PWGSC ITSB, accountable for Sales and Marketing / Call-to-Cash Integrated Processes for IT Shared Services with results surpassing $450M in revenue. Jean is a Champion of the “One-community” change management strategy to improve PWGSC ITSB client relationships with federal departments and agencies related to a multi-billion dollar federal market.
Prior to BP&M Consulting, Jean was the Senior Vice President of Sales and Chief Operating Officer at Provance Technologies Inc., a software development company engaged in enterprise-scale IT asset and service management. The company was rated in the top five within its industry by Gartner Research.
Prior to Provance, Jean held a senior IT executive position at Canada Post Corporation where he was involved in the long-term strategic and financial planning for the corporation and was responsible for major re-engineering and implementation projects for both internal and external clients. Before that, he served as a senior project manager for large retail and government clients at NCR and AT&T Corporations.
As a consultant Jean has helped many clients to develop and implement world-class IM & IT business processes and program management frameworks, manage strategic plans, implement policies, and optimize processes in support of a broad range of business goals and objectives. He is a certified black belt level in Lean and Six Sigma, is a certified process auditor, and an ADKAR people change management professional.
Having facilitated over 75 Kaizen Events, Jean is the number #1 Lean Sensei in the Canadian Federal Public Sector.
Jean holds a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Management from Athabasca University, and Masters Certificates in Business Analysis and Project Management from the Sprott School of Business at Carleton University.
